The farm – our original purchase in Saskatchewan. Three hundred and twenty acres (a half section) of rolling land, (purchased jointly with Mom and her partner) with an old yardsite covered in run-down buildings. :
Right at the moment, the entire half-section is in pasture, with a local fellow grazing his cattle on it. There is a big slough just north of the yardsite, which is a magnet for migratory birds, spring and fall, so we’ll always have a good show. We’ve started planting a fruit orchard, which will ultimately become the base for a permaculture plot.
We have subdivided out side-by-side ten-acre yardsites, and Mom and her partner have begun construction on their house. Hubby and I won’t begin building until we’re transferred to the right city. The photos above were taken from my yardsite.
